School has been keeping me quite busy, making my dA updating difficult, but not to worry, I'm currently working on a picture that I hope will be a success.
Both my Mom and Dad had the swine flu, but unlike what the news would tell you, they got over it in three days. I myself have a rather nasty head cold at the moment, but all is well. I have also been recently diagnosed with OCD, but like I said before, all is well. In fact, me having OCD (of the pure O verity, actually) explains a lot about my rather..... uptight personality.
Junior College itself has been both interesting and entertaining. Like last week, while leaving my screenwriting class, a fellow student told me that the reason for our economic crisis was because an alternate timeline is going to merge with our own, and that's why there's a movie called 2012 coming out, and that's why people wear skulls nowadays. The lady told me this with complete conviction. I am most impressed.
As for the upcoming/current movies, here's basically my opinion on them.
Avatar : Yes, everyone's is hyped to see this movie. Yes the effects look awesome, but no, I refuse to be enthusiastic about this movie. The story is basically Disney's Pocahantis, with smurfs. Or blue cat furries, or whatever those things are.
A Christmas Carol : I went in to the theater with a big ol' scowl on my face. "It's Zemeckis dangit, he hasn't directed a real movie since Who Framed Roger Rabbit! Now he's going to take a story that's very near and dear to my childhood and murder it in front of me!". BUT I left the movie with a big ol' grin on my face. He actually stuck close to the original story, in fact, most of the dialog was practically verbatim with the book. Plus, the animation was extremely pretty.
Clash of the TItans : This looks like it's going to be cheesier then the original. The only bright spot is that OMG IT'S GOT LIAM NEESON AND RALPH FIENNES IN IT OMG ITS A SCHINDLER'S LIST REUNION TIME TO PARTAY
How to Train your Dragon : The little dragon in this movie resembles my cat. Seriously.
Nine ( I mean, nine as in, the upcoming oscar bait musical not the one with the stitch dolls): This movie is pure oscar bait, not very interesting at all, but OMG DANIEL DAY LEWIS CAN SING???1!!!1!1 I DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE HURR!!
aaaand in other news, I want to see Inglorious Bastards, why did I miss it in the theater? WHY? Why did I see "Where the Wild Things Are" instead?
